After much controversy and doubt over the second edition of Indian Premier League, IPL is finally going to begun as 1st and inaugural match of the 2009 season will be played between last years runner-up Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on Saturday, 18th April, 2009 at Cape Town from 12.30 PM local time, 10.30 GMT and 4.00 PM IST.Chennai Super Kings is looking to start with a win and they are strong after the addition of England all rounder Andrew Flintoff and Mathew Hayden will play his 1st natch after retirement along with Dhoni, Raina and Muralitharan.
Mumbai Indians after unsuccessful 1st season and in form Sachin Tendulkar trying to change the perseption. Zaheer Khan's availabilty and Harbhajan's form will be the key factor along with Duminy's and Jayasuriya's batting.
